The progressive nature of the Warrenbri Stock Horse Stud operating within an extremely progressive market is unmistakeable. For a long time Australian horseman and women have realised the value of the ASH. However, it has not been until recent years when Australia has been demonstrating to the rest of the world what equestrian champions are truly made of.

With our success as equestrians on the world’s sporting fields, and opportunities for promotion of our horses with displays such as the Sydney Olympics and Equi tana, the world is realising the value of Australian bred horses and their outstanding performance ability. Because of their durability and versatility, Australian horses have been exported overseas since the First World War. We as Australians have understood their worth, as has the foreign equestrian population to a lesser extent. However, with a better confidence in their international reputation, we are only now beginning to take advantage of this and move into a competitive marketplace both domestically and internationally.

Polo teams from overseas are coming to Dalby Stock Horse Sale to purchase their own ASH. Breeders for the USA are flying to Australia to visit studs and make offers on horseflesh. With such an exciting time ahead for this industry, it is an obvious display of business strength to see people like Simon and Bridget Knight of the Warrenbri Stock Horse Stud discussing options such as embryo transfer and artificial insemination. Furthermore, it is this enthusiasm and market leadership that some would say would ensure the success of Warrenbri Stock Horse Stud.

With all the world’s doors open to the introduction of Australian Stock Horses, the time will come when competition in the industry will be fierce. It is long established names and reputations like that of Warrenbri and the Knights that will stand this stud in good stead to handle this. A key tool to being competitive is to have the capital backing to move ahead within an industry as the industry moves ahead. With the current success of the Warrenbri Stock Horse Stud, future success appears all the more attainable.

The broad range of skills, knowledge and experience attributing to the resources of the Warrenbri Stock Horse Stud can also not go without mention. Simon Knight has not only been born into the stock horse industry, but his lifetime association with quality horse flesh and dedication to the advancement of his own line of bloodstock is invaluable. His wife, Bridget, is no stranger to the industry either, and her passion for Warrenbri Stock Horse Stud and all that it represents is contagious. This devotion from the forefront of the Warrenbri team will ensure the longevity of this stud, and will confidently move the stud forward with the industry as stalwarts within it.
